The Stanley Cup was awarded this past Wednesday night, and the Florida Panthers won the Cup. It became a night of horror for some Flyers fans, with former Flyers Goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky hoisting his second Stanley Cup. Coupled with Panthers General Manager Bill Zito winning another cup. For those that forget, I told the Flyers hired former General Manager Chuck Fletcher over Zito.
Passing over Zito has set the Flyers back at least five to seven years, especially with the cap space Fletcher was afforded, following former Flyers’ General Manager Rob Hextall’s departure. Not hiring Zito is far worse, than trading Bobrovsky. With that being said, something else came out following the Panthers unbelievable victory, against a tough Edmonton Oilers team on Wednesday night.

Immediately following the victory, Matthew Tkachuk spoke on the ice with an announcer, with Tkachuk, and he revealed some massive injuries.

Tkachuk Injuries
Tkachuk tore the adductor off the bone and was dealing with a hernia on the same side of his body, “I wanted to throw in the towel many times. I owe a lot of thank you’s. I wasn’t the easiest to deal with…my fiancee did a great job.”
Hockey players are just built differently, and just want to be out there playing. Some athletes nay have been out a majority of the season, not Tkachuk though. He believes the Panthers could become a dynasty.
