By now all Flyers fans are aware that Tyler Pitlick has signed a two-year deal with the Arizona Coyotes for a $3.5 million deal, worth an AAV of $1.75 million.

Pitlick became a fan favorite in just one full season with the Flyers. He busted his butt every shift, scored clutch goals at times, played anywhere within the lineup that Head Coach Alain Vigneault asked of him, and was one of the most consistent Flyers in the playoffs. Losing a fan favorite is never easy, and Pitlick will be sorely missed.
Pitlick told me in December of 2019 right before the holiday break:
“The fans love me, and I love them back.”- Tyler Pitlick
Tyler Pitlick told Jamey Baskow in December of 2019
Tyler, I’ll speak for every Flyers fan. Thank you, thanks for giving your all. You will be missed.
Sorry Tyler. You weren’t soft enough, slow enough, or overpaid enough, to play for our team. Now watch them deal Laughton.
He brought an element of speed, aggressiveness, and skill that the Flyers bottom 6 has sorely lacked for years. Hopefully guys like NAK, Bunnaman, Lacyznski, and Ratcliffe can fill the void
Watched him play here in Med Hat in the WHL and as a lifetime flyers fan was proud of him and impressed with his contributions . Underpaid and valued . Sorry to see his hard work , grittiness, and clutch performances go unrewarded . Good luck with the new team and happy you will get paid fair value . Not sure why we couldn’t keep him .
