Day one of Flyers Developmental Camp is now in the books. Jett Luchanko was as advertised, speedy, and Spencer Gill was much bigger in person on the ice. All in all, here are some sights and sounds of day one of Flyers developmental Camp.

Jett Luchanko is not only fast, but he has a great first step, in terms of building acceleration. His first step is unlike most I’ve seen at Developmental Camp during my years of writing, so let’s see how this progresses.

Jett Luchanko says he has met some of the players, he said specifically Joel Farabee

Denver Barkey hit the ice too, let’s not forget. This young man is coming off a 100-point season for the London Knights. He has a really good wrist shot.

Dan Hilferty greeted the crowd who made the trek to the Skate Zone.

Flyers’ Head Coach John Tortorella got a bird’s eye view today too

Hunter McDonald said that he hopes to impress the Flyers, and the goal is to make the team. While Noah Powell compared himself to the grit that Matthew Tkachuk and Brady Tkachuk possess.

Powell says that Ohio State was his first choice. He says they treated him well, and made it feel like home.

Spencer Gill was built as advertised, he is tall. As a matter of fact, he was one of the tallest players on the ice today

Ethan Samson returned again for Flyers Developmental Camp. He is trying to make the next leap in his career, and really show the Flyers top brass he belongs.

The pro’s were even on hand to get a glimpse of the new draft class, and other young prospects. Jamie Drysdale, Cam York, Joel Farabee, and Tyson Foerster caught a glimpse of the young prospects.

The week is just getting started at the Skate Zone. Let’s see how the week goes.
