Sean Couturier appears to be back in the lineup today. According to the NHL’s media website, Couturier has been activated and taken off IR.
This is great news for the Flyers who will definitely need the number one center today against the high flying Washington Capitals.
Coots provides stability at the defensive position, as well as, provides offensively. Of course, he is the current Selke Trophy Award winner for a reason.
The Flyers were 3-0-1 against the Washington Capitals during the Regular Season last season, and were 2-0-0 against the Caps on the road. With the return of Coots this makes the Flyers that more deadly.
