The Lehigh Valley Phantoms entered last night’s game looking for redemption, after dropping both games last weekend. They got huge efforts from Ethan Samson, Samuel Tuomaala, and Garrett Wilson. Wilson tied the game, and Tuomaala scored the game winner in overtime to win the game 5-4.
Tuomaala continues his excellent season. He now has eight goals and 10 assists in 17 games played. Tuomaala potted two goals last night, to include the game winner in overtime. If he continues to play this well, he could be as serviceable recall for the Flyers if injuries arise.
Much like Tuomaala, Ethan Samson is absolutely on a tear this season. He netted his fourth goal this season last night, and made some awesome defensive plays at the blueline. Samson is really showcasing himself for a recall, yes, he’s been that good. Hopefully, he makes his NHL debut in the future this season.
The Phantoms are having the same troubles as the Flyers with scoring. One game they pot five goals, the next not so much. The offense has been very inconsistent all season long. If the Flyers are in need of goal scoring, then Samu Tuomaala would be the guy. Tuomaala is now tied for 10th In the AHL in scoring with 18 points.
Hopefully, the Phantoms continue to build off the victory against the Hartford Wolfpack, and have a great Thanksgiving!.
