What can’t Ryan Marker do well? Good gosh, the young 25-year-old is electric on the ice, as it appears he does the electric slide all night long, after potting goal after goal. He potted the first hat trick in Delaware Thunder history about a month ago, and now Marker has potted the second hat trick in Thunder history nearly a month later.

Marker has just been on a tear this season. He leaves players and goaltenders alike scratching their heads like, “What the heck just happened.” Marker now leads the FPHL in scoring with 22 goals, and 21 assists for a whopping total of 43 points in 21 games played.

As if things couldn’t get any better for Marker. The young man is now on a 21 game point streak, and Marker tallied seven points alone this past week. Marker was one main reason the Thunder were on a four game winning streak, to which, it was halted on Saturday night in an 8-3 loss to the Watertown Wolves.

A young stud in Marker, doesn’t to often disappoint his family in attendance, nor the proud Thunder fans that make the trek for games. He usually puts on a show, as he pots a beautiful goal after a beautiful goal, then goes, “Top shelf where momma hides the cookies.” Hopefully, the Reading Royals take a look at him, sooner rather than later.

Anton Kalinin, a native of Russia, is like a Russian Missle on the ice. The young 21-year-old was traded to the Thunder earlier in the season, after playing in just five games for the Watertown Wolves. He has razzled and dazzled as a member of the Thunder by tallying 8 goals, and 8 assists for a total of 16 points in 15 games played.

A former, Mechel Chelyabinsk U18 player in Kalinin has a knack for the net. He’s fast, and Kalinin is an asset while short-handed. He tallied a shorty this past week, as Kalinin does everything Head Coach Charlie Pens Sr. asks of him. The young man has a wicked wrist shot, to pair along with his great vision of the ice.

Marker and Kalinin appear to be naturals, and players that know how to score goals. They look very good this season for the Thunder, especially with the way they both carry the puck up the ice. If they keep producing like they are currently doing, then make no mistake about it, Marker and Kalinin could have a good shot at reaching the ECHL, as early as next season. Whatever the case maybe, Marker and Kalinin are exactly what the doctor ordered, offensively, for this young Thunder team.
