First Period
Tyson Empey put the Gladiators up two firing the puck past Brkin short-handed on a breakaway at 18:14. 30 seconds later Alec Butcher put the Royals on the board forcing the puck home for his 17th of the season on the power play at 18:44. With just nine seconds left Sanghoon Shin netted his 26th of the season to put the Gladiators back up two. Shots for the period were 18-7 in favor of Reading.
Obviously, in the three games you look at the whole of it, able to get two wins is great. Just kind of an incomplete effort for today. Some of the things we talked about, bringing that work ethic all the time. I know the execution isn’t always going to be there, but I thought we didn’t have the work ethic for two-thirds of the game. For the third period, I thought we were great we worked extremely hard and we generated some chances. Obviously would’ve loved to get at least a point out of it, but it just shows how crucial you have to play a full game. You can’t take any shifts off, can’t take a period anything like that, because teams in this league will capitalize on their opportunities.

Royals yet again would outshoot the Gladiators this time 13-11.
