The Flyers were right back at it again after a well deserved day off. Saturday night the Flyers defeated the Bruins. Tonight they will take on the Islanders in New York.

The Flyers met up at the team’s practice facility in Voorhees this morning. They utilized two separate ice surfaces to split the players into two different groups. One rink for training camp and the other for the players who will take part in tonight’s game.

Flyers netminder Alexei Kolosov was among the players preparing for tonight’s game. According to assistant coach Darryl Williams Kolosov is expected to play at least part of the game in New York but would not say exactly how much. Williams will be filling in for John Tortorella on the Flyers bench tonight.

Williams also said that the Islanders were suiting up most of their final line-up. The Flyers are not, so the squad has their work cut out for them. That group finished up and hit the road following the morning skate.

Training Camp was going on as planned in the secondary rink. Tortorella was at the helm as the team ran through various drills. A quick look at the guys who remained at the rink helped paint a clear picture of what a challenge awaits the “game” group.

The Flyers have a busy schedule this week. They play tonight in New York against the Islanders. Tomorrow night they will be in Boston against the Bruins. And Thursday night they will play the final preseason game of 2024 in Philly against the New Jersey Devils. With things already this far along you would not expect to see any additions to camp at this point. Well in Flyers World anything can happen so we saw Kolosov join camp over the weekend and Denver Barkey was taking part in training camp today.
