First Period
An eventful opening period in Glens Falls was kicked off just under 2 minutes in with an interference penalty to Troy Murray. The power play for the Thunder would be the first of 6 opportunities on the night. Adirondack would fail to convert on the man advantage. Spencer Kennedy would only play the first period of tonight’s contest he dropped the mitts twice in the frame, once with Yannick Turcotte at 4:42 and at 15:58 with Zach Walker. Kennedy received 22 penalty minutes in total, 2 fighting majors, and an instigator along with a game misconduct. The scoreboard was even after a period in the books, Tyler Heidt found twine at 9:29 and Yannick Turcotte would also find the back of the net at the 14:33 mark.
Second Period
Adirondack in the frame would earn 3 power play chances, but not find twine. The Thunder failed to find the back of the net in the period, Reading would not. Yvan Mongo put the Royals ahead with his second of the preseason at 12:59 of the frame.
Third Period
Eric Dop would take over in net for Reading and he was solid. We Reading outshot 22-10 in the frame, Dop had all the answers stopping all 22 Thunder shots. Adirondack had the chances yet again on the man advantage two in the period, but couldn’t find twine. Shane Sellar capped off the Royals win with an empty-netter at 18:05.
