Following a few recalls to the AHL in the Rochester Americans and the Springfield Thunderbirds. Jacob Pritchard has made a living with the Reading Royals on torching his opponents. Pritchard has been on a tear by netting eight goals, and registering 11 assists in just 23 games played.
Pritchard really made the most out of playing experience in the AHL, following his stint for St. Lawrence University and of course attending Umass, as well. Pritchard just has a knack for the net, and that was made evident at Umass, where ha tallied 16 goals and 31 assists in 41 games played in 2018-19.
For his strong efforts, Pritchard was announced to the ECHL All-Star game yesterday, where he will represent the Royals with class. Pritchard is a fine skater, and has one heck of a wrist shot to boot.
This honor is a well deserved one for Pritchard. If you look at the track of Max Willman and Hayden Hodgson, Pritchard may not be far behind them with earning a Flyers/Phantoms contract. The sky is the limit for the 26-year-old in Pritchard as he signed a one-year-entry-level-contract with the Carolina Hurricanes in 2019. His time will come eventually, Pritchard just has to remain patient.
