The Royals look to bounce back tonight after only earning 1 point out of a possible 4 last weekend against Worcester. Reading heads to Glens Falls, NY to kick off a home-and-away back-to-back against the Adirondack Thunder.

Adirondack looks to make it 3 in a row after winning their last 2 against the Trois-Rivières. This will be their 6th consecutive game on home ice before they hit the road for Reading tomorrow. Adirondack is 3 – 2 on their homestand, the Royals look to make their homestand record .500 tonight. The Thunder currently sit in 5th place 2 points ahead of the lions and 13 points behind the north division battling, Worcester Railers.

The Royals look to get back in the win column against a team they have yet to lose to this season. In 5 meetings this season the Royals have won all 5, 4 of them in regulation and 1 of them in the overtime session. The Royals trail by 9 points in the north division race, doesn’t seem likely that Newfoundland will stop their tear anytime soon. Reading has plenty of time coming back with 33 games remaining on the regular season schedule.

Let’s look at goaltending, shall we? Jake Theut is the most probable starter for tonight from previous experiences, he has a record of 10 – 10 – 2 – 1, with a .897 SV% and 3.12 GAA in 23 GP this season. Isaac Poulter his backup has a record of 4 – 6 – 2, with a .897% and 3.18 GAA in 13 GP.

Xavier Parent is my Adirondack player to watch. Parent has 33 points (15 G, 18 A) tying him for 1st in points and 2nd in goals. With 33 points in 33 games it gives him an average of a point per game.

The Thunder are the most penalized team in the north division, they have 600 penalty minutes. Yanick Turcotte leads the team with 71 penalty minutes.

Can the Royals get back in the win column and stay undefeated against the Thunder this season, or will the Thunder win their 3rd straight and cap off their homestand above .500?
