We’re back in a familiar place with the Philadelphia Flyers and the NHL regular season. As COVID numbers rise globally, the league has been once again forced to adapt. The Flyers are forced to be down again with several key players on COVID protocol, the team had to roll on without their star #1 center and #1 goalie in Sean Couturier and Carter Hart. The team knew it would not be easy to push forward without them, but with the Seattle Kraken being their first opponent back from the Christmas break, it could have been worse as they do not have to worry about matchups against key top players. With an overtime 3-2 victory over the Kraken, the Flyers had to carry that momentum into the next game against the San Jose sharks. Could they find the energy and rally behind rookie starter Felix Sandstrom. It was definitely a winnable game.
