E195 – Flyers Lose Gas On Western Road Trip
The Philadelphia Flyers have hit their first roadbump in a couple of months. With 1 win, 2 losses, and 1 overtime loss over the last four games on their western road trip, the Flyers seem to have run out of gas and need a desperate regroup at home to get back on track of their winning ways. While the team started the road trip with a big win against the red-hot Vancouver Canucks, it ended with a red-hot Connor McDavid running rough shot all over a team that lost a bit of their energy along a very long trip. It’s important to remember that this team has struggled a bit early in the season and came back with an epic winning record to hold one of the top spots around the NHL. From an outsiders group, it seems that a simple rest and recovery is all the team needs to get back on track. However, with Noah Cates slated to return to lineup again soon, they might get another boost that is coming at just the right time.
On this episode of Gettin’ Gritty Wit It, Yariv and Vasili go through the Flyers current road trip results that saw them drop slightly in the standings. After such a strong run against a very tough schedule, we finally see some fatigue with the group. We go through all things Flyers, Phantoms, and prospects related on this regroup-themed episode.
