As the waiting game ends and the Flyers regular season is set to continue, things have been quiet, but surprisingly there was so much to talk about. Whether the Flyers are ready or not they will have to prepare to hit the ice with a thin lineup. Several crucial players Claude Giroux, Jake Voracek, Travis Konecny, Oskar Lindblom, Scott Laughton, and Justin Braun will not be in the lineup for against the Rangers on Thursday. However, it will bring new opportunity for players like David Kase, Maxim Sushko, and Samuel Morin to get some serious ice time and eyes in front of the coaching staff. With all the roster changes and missing players due to COVID or injury, it’s interesting to looks at the young talent thriving where hockey is being played. The Flyers will have to put up a strong team game to beat the rangers and buy some time until Lake Tahoe, where players can return.

On the youth side, players like Zayde Wisdom are already showing immediate success playing in the AHL, Cam York and Jay O’Brien are lighting up the NCAA, and it’s good to see the depth is still strong. On this episode of Gettin Gritty Wit It, I welcome back guests Andy Gorel (@andygorel) and Joe Borek (@jjborek26) on the show to talk about the Flyers’ recent hiatus from the season.
