The Philadelphia Flyers are in a tailspin. As the team continues to underachieve on the COVID-19 shorten seasoned, GM Chuck Fletcher is left scratching his head as to what he could have done differently. With all of the recent struggles facing the team is understandable for fans and the media to demand action, demand a trade or a firing. However, leadership is best served being patient and not reactive. Looking at Chuck Fletcher’s history as a GM we should expect him to value his assets sparingly and not make drastic moves to break up his team. However, with the pressure from Corporate ownership, Comcast, there is no way he is not feeling the heat. The exceptions have gone up and the team no longer has the luxury of saying, “we’re rebuilding”.

On this episode of Gettin Gritty Wit It, I welcome back guest Chris Maher and new guest Amedeo Grassia to talk about Chuck Fletcher’s most recent press conference and the slew of losses in the Flyers recent history. Not as positive as other shows, but also not devoid of hope.
