With the World Junior Championships well underway, Flyers prospects Cam York and Bobby Brink have already impressed early on. York was even named team Captain voted on by his teammates, a rare honor for any player. With such an elite group of young players, it’s now more apparent as to why the Flyers selected York with their 1st pick of the draft. Brink has also done a good job making an impact on a high powered US team and is well on his way to gaining national attention with a recent two goal game. There is also youngster Emil Andrae who has already been getting increased playing time and productivity on a high powered team Sweden. Andrae is showing a bit of what’s to come as he will be a returning player for next years tournament, most likely playing an even larger role.
With the camp nearly two weeks away from kicking off, lineup questions are everywhere and the Flyers have not given hints as to what decisions will be made come the season’s opener. However, with time comes more speculation. For this week’s episode of Gettin Gritty Wit It, Yariv Wolok (@ywolok) welcomes, Pearlo Wisdom and Steel Flyers from SteelFlyers.com. Pearlo and Steel are friends of FNG and bring their passion and knowledge to the show to get excited about the fact that we can watch hockey again.
