The Flyers entered today’s annual Black Friday game against the New York Rangers just a tad out of the last Wild Card spot.
Ivan Fedotov put forth one heck of a game, as he made save after save, including a string of saves that kept the Flyers 2- lead late in the third period. Fedotov The school daddy has become a Russian Assassin, as he is just getting more comfortable and comfortable, to include moving faster laterally from post to post. Today, he made 23 saves on 24 shots faced to not only earn the 3-1 victory, but he finished with another astounding .958 Save Percentage.

Travis Konecny
Konecny had another great day, and both he and Travis Sanheim are making a strong case for the four nations roster for Team Canada.
A winger in Konecny, potted two goals to give him 13 on the season, and he now slides into 12th in the league in scoring with 29 points (13g,16a). He just continues to prove his naysayers wrong about his contract.
Konecny has 8g,,11a in his last 13 games, and is on a three game point streak (2g,4a).
Playoffs, you talking about playoffs???
With today’s victory against the New York Rangers The Flyers now move into a wild card spot with 25 points. This is unbelievable, especially with how the Flyers started the season. It goes to show that John Tortorella is one heck of a coach.
