Los Angeles, CA – The Flyers wrapped up the Cali road trip on a high note. Philadelphia lost to the Sharks back on Tuesday, handing them their first win after they had lost their first 11 games to open the season. They bounced back last night against the Ducks, 6 – 3 victors. Tippet netted 2 for the orange & black and Sam Errson picked up his second win of the season. Cal Petersen redeemed himself after giving up 5 goals on 30 shots against his former club last Saturday, back in Philly. Petersen looked stupendous, the Flyers were being outplayed but Cal stepped up huge. Morgan Frost after being benched, just stayed positive and grinded. Frost netted two goals in the Flyers 4 – 2 win.

The Flyers seemed to be getting outplayed to start this contest, only having one shot over halfway through the first period. Philadelphia seemed to gain momentum and capitalized, Owen Tippett breaking through the d-men and sneaking a back-hander past Talbot at 14:59. The lone goal in the period by Tippett, his third goal in two nights for the orange & black.
Frosty, Morgan Frost extended the Flyers’ lead, a motivated Frost circled the net and wristed it off the back of Talbot for his first of the season at 6:26. Morgan Frost again found twine, deflecting Seeler’s shot at the 16:30 mark. Carl Grundstrom put the Kings on the board he’s had a hot stick as of late for LA, his sixth goal of the season on a snapshot through the arm of Petersen. Cal Petersen through two periods at 28 saves on 29 shots, keeping Philadelphia in it who had 3 goals on 15 shots. The defense was huge for Philly, with 18 blocked shots through two periods.
Camsanity does it again, Cam Atkinson nets his eighth of the season a wrister past Talbot at the 7:04 mark of the third period. Adrian Kempe netted his eighth of the year, bringing the Kings back within two with his tipped-in power-play tally at 9:50. Kings winger Trevor Moore solidified the Flyers 4 – 2 win. Moore at the 15:15 mark received a double-minor for high-sticking putting Philadelphia on the man advantage for the remainder of the game.
Cal Petersen had a stellar effort in net, 35 saves on 37 shots for his win in a Flyers uniform. Cam Talbot made 22 saves on 26 of the Philadelphia shots he faced.
