“I’m really excited for this new opportunity to join a team, build with them and get a fresh start,” said Owen Tippett when he joined the Flyers. “I’m still working on trying to round out my 200-foot game, but overall I think I can bring offense, size and speed to the lineup. I’m really excited to get going and meet everyone.”
Good for Tippett for bringing size, speed, and a nasty wrist shot into the fold. Tippett’s confidence was finally paying dividends for the orange and black, where after a slow start to the season, he really turned it up a notch over the course of the past month or so. This was one reason why his injury was disheartening. He was killing it and then boom. The good news is Tippett has been taken off IR (Injured Reserve) ahead of Tuesday’s game against the Florida Panthers, and he will play tonight.

It was a lower body injury, and I heard whispers from some people close to the situation that he dodged a bullet. They feared the worst, and the All-Star break came at the right time. Even do much so, Tippett earned a new eight year extension with the Flyers right before the break.
“It’s been great so far, and I love playing in Philly.” – Owen Tippett
Tippett also states, “This is my home.” Its a good start from the break with Tippett healthy, and re-inserted back into the lineup. He’s a sniper, with a sick release.
