It’s just great to be home, it’s a sense of relief, the home cooking, seeing family and friends. The Flyers are just happy to be home for those reasons, but to see Oskar Lindblom, as well.
Lindblom brightens everyone’s day, as Alain Vigneault loves the kid. The young man in Lindblom visited the Flyers today at practice. He gives them a sense of hope before their all important game against the Tampa Bay Lightning, another juggernaut tomorrow night.
The young 23-year-old in Lindblom brightens the teams day. This could be one reason for their recent bad road trip. Yes, the Flyers are notoriously not good on the post game road trip that follows Christmas, however, this year they could have been bad because they missed their pal in Lindblom. Face it, this is not easy for anyone, especially Lindblom, as one can imagine.
Athletes are human too. This was their best friend and comrade in Lindblom, who they no longer get to see on a daily basis. Lindblom is always happy, upbeat, and in good spirits daily. It’s tough for a team to lose that type of upbeat personality in the locker room.
Whatever the case maybe, Lindblom maybe exactly what this team needs to beat this juggernaut in the Lightning tomorrow night. Everyone remain #OskarStrong. We are in this fight together, as he currently receives his Chemo treatments at the University of Penn.
