The Flyers finished with the fourth worst record in the NHL, as they hold the fourth draft pick of the 2024-25 draft, at least until the Draft lottery in May.
Flyers’ General Manager Danny Briere spoke about the season as a whole today, so here are some good tidbits from the presser.
- Danny Briere: “I think we are at a stage now where we’re going to shift from subtracting from the roster, to adding. Help the team. Briere also noted that the Flyers may look for outside help for Goaltending
- Danny Briere confirms that Brad Shaw will be considered for the Head Coaching vacancy, but did say they would go down the college route if it’s a good fit
- Danny Briere calls Matvei Michkov a prepared and special athlete. He couldn’t believe how well he was prepared for his exit interview
- Danny Briere said the next coaching hire will teach and communicate
- Briere says that Jett Luchanko, Oliver Bonk, Denver Barkey, Alex Bump, Emil Andrae, Adam Ginning, Hunter McDonald or some of the graduates, and some of the next guys up in terms of prospects
- Danny Briere Briere confirms that Rasmus Ristolainen underwent another surgery on his arm. He will likely miss the early part of next season.
