Nic Deslauriers is a bruising, fighting winger that Chuck Fletcher added to give the Flyers some extra bite. Many articles were written on this subject, so we do not need to delve anymore on the subject, but what Deslauriers also brings is a fun style of hockey in the locker room.

He makes players feel like they are at home. Deslauriers is inviting, and apparently will share his experiences of the sport in a fun way that gives life to the locker room. He had the team over for dinner before training camp began, Deslauriers just wanted to show that he was one of the guys.
Deslauriers and his family are now settled in Mt. Laurel, NJ. He joked, “I needed a lot of land.” He quickly bonded with Nick Seeler. Both players are no strangers to fighting as they have fought two each other twice throughout their careers together.
Does Deslauriers bring a ton of offense, NO. Is he a playmaker, NO. But what he brings his passion and heart for the game of hockey.

This kind of hard-working attitude is not taught, it is something that is instilled into you. Deslauriers comes back tonight, as he was officially removed from IR (Injured Reserve). The orange and black could use his services, not only with the tough ness and grit factor, but just being an able bodied person to play.
