Former Flyers goalie and current hockey analyst who recently joined TNT’s hockey coverage segment back in late August of 2023, has officially joined the Flyers organization and will games alongside longtime Flyers broadcaster Jim Jackson.

Boucher, 46, has been great in calling games for ESPN for the past few seasons. Flyers fans have been clamoring and hoping Boucher would fill the void left by Keith Jones taking over the President role for the orange and black.

Of course, Boucher is long remembered for his goalie kick after making a clinching save in the shootout against Olli Jokinen of the New York Rangers in 2010, to which the Flyers made the playoffs and eventually made the Stanley Cup. The Flyers had to win that game to make the playoffs, thus the orange and black went on an improbable run.

This was a great choice by NBCsportsphilly, not just a great choice, but the best choice in hiring Boucher as a Flyers broadcaster.
