The Flyers had somewhat of a busy day fighting the inevitable, as expected with their roster finally being approved by the NHL. Some did well during their taste of a Torts Camp or “Tortsture Camp”, while others knew the writing was on the wall for a cut. They placed two players on waivers yesterday in a paper transaction with the likes of Wade Allison and Tanner Laczynski. However, they were recalled today, and have officially made the opening night lineup. Both players have worked their “Ass” off as Allison stated yesterday, especially with overcoming adversity with injuries the two have shared in the past.

Samuel Ersson has won the backup position for now, as Felix Sandstrom will begin the season on non-injured IR, along with Patrick Brown, and Bobby Brink.
Sean Couturier was placed on IR, and Ryan Ellis, yes Ellis for those that forget has been placed on LTIR. The Flyers now have $0 for cap space, yes a big fat goose egg in cap space.
