
Matvei Michkov really played well since coming back from the Four Nations break. He was very much engaged, and it appears that Michkov just wants to get better. Michkov finished the season with 26 goals and 37 assists, which was good for 63 points.

“It’s always a pleasure to go and play against players like Alex. Especially, being in the league when he’s at this amazing level and point. Everybody’s waiting for it and it’s a big honor for all players,” Michkov said via translator Slava.

The cool thing about Michkov is he always puts his team first, ahead of stats. He just wants to win, winning is important to Michkov, much more important than scoring a goal.

“We will work, we deserve it, we will continue to work,” Michkov was asked how he felt about being the rookie goal scoring leader. He never takes credit for accomplishments
