Matvei Michkov continues to turn heads, as he just continues to impress on a nightly basis.
Last night, he registered his first three-point game in his NHL career, and it only took him 24 games to do such. Moreover,it was his seventh multi-point game of his brief NHL career, which is very impressive.
“He almost never comes to you with a question,” Flyers’ Associate Coach Rocky Thompson said. “When he comes off the ice, at times in broken English, he’s (Saying he’s trying) trying to improve his game without the puck.”
Michkov has an impressive resume, and he is just 19-years-old:
Leads the NHL in scoring by a rookie with 22 points
Leads the NHL in goals by a rookie with 9
Has 22 points in 24 games played (9g,13a)
Has scored 3 overtime winners in just 24 games

The Flyers are now 8-3-2 in their last 13 games played. They are wreaking havoc on the league, and have found themselves in a peculiar spot, from the how the season first started.
They need to focus on winning, and with that–it appears the team has found an identity. Hopefully, they bounce back against the Boston Bruins on Saturday.
