Matvei Michkov and Oliver Bonk don’t just have chemistry on the ice together, but they get along just well. The two are becoming friends, and it’s become apparent with how they act with one another on the ice.
The two give fist pumps to each other, talk to each other, laugh with one another, and just have fun together. They seek each other out when the pair are on the ice together.
It makes sense that the pair would become friends, especially since they are on the ice together a lot. They both share duties on the Power Play, and Lehigh Valley Phantoms Head Coach Ian Laperrière puts them together when the Desnoyers-Luchanko-Michkov line is on the ice.
Here was a good shot of Bonk and Michkov on Thursday from the first day of rookie camp, captured by our very own Rob Windfelder:
It appears that both are having fun, and having fun with one another. As stated above, these two make it a point to get around center ice and fist pump each other, as they try to seek each other out. A good friendship is forming as they are always talking to one another.
