Carter Hart was initially day to day with a mid body injury. He was further elaborated on the injury, and Hart was scheduled to start last night against the Anaheim Ducks, “I feel ready to go. Body feels a lot better. I was trying to get up, he fell on the lower half of my back. Couldn’t really move for a few days, but I feel a lot better now,” Hart said a few days ago. Hart unfortunately was scratched with an illness against the Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings, with both games he was initially supposed to start.
Fortunately, Hart’s injury wasn’t as bad as first thought. Flyers’ Head Coach John Tortorella confirmed he will start tonight. Either way, the Flyers didn’t rush his return and allowed him to get 100% healthy, regardless of how long it takes for him to return to action. The Flyers are in the midst of a rebuild, so rushing him back does the organization and player no good.
Egor Zamula will also play tonight, as Victor Mete was sent back to Lehigh Monday. Yes, that means Bobby Brink will sit again tonight.
The lines for tonight should look like this:
Foerster-Couturier-Atkinson
Tippett-Frost-Konecny
Farabee-Cates-Laughton
Deslauriers-Poehling-Hathaway
York-Sanheim
Seeler-Walker
Zamula-Belpedio

Marc Staal and Rasmus Ristolainen:
Marc Staal and Rasmus Ristolainen both practiced yesterday. Both did say they were feeling pretty good, but they will not play tonight. Staal said after practice that he felt pretty good, and it will be a day-to-day thing from here on out. He is looking at possibly, I stress possibly returning maybe sometime this weekend or in the near future. Ristolainen just said he was feeling pretty good, but he did not elaborate on a timetable. He just said he was getting close to a return, and making good progress.
this is a positive development for both players, as both spoke following practice yesterday. Things seem to be looking up on the injury front, knock on wood.
