Known as an offensive threat, Karsen Dorwart knows how to drive and finish plays. He has a high-end motor, and can accelerate in the blink of an eye. Dorwart is a finisher, much like Matvei Michkov finishes the play.

Dorwart is a Center that stands at 6’1, and weighs 194 pounds. He registered 13 goals and 18 assists on the season in 35 games played for Michigan State University.
“I did have some other options,” Dorwart said. “Just the interest from the brass and Jonesy and Briere. They were unbelievable all year, they showed a lot of interest. One thing they mentioned was opportunity up the middle, so for me as a center, that’s exciting.”
Most teams this time of year are either against the cap, or have reached their maximum limit in contractual contracts. Not in the Flyers case.

The Flyers signed Karsen Dorwart to a two-year ELC, worth $975,000 per year. He will become an RFA (Restricted Free Agent) at the conclusion of the 2025-26 season.
A cool neat fact about Dorwart. He said his parents were big Minnesota Wild fans, so he obviously grew up watching them, but he does like Nathan MacKinnon as a player.
It’s to my understanding, the Flyers want its size down the middle, now enter Dorwart, a sizable Center. Let’s see how this pans out.
