As of today (December 18, 2025), recent reports confirm that Flyers prospect survived the final cuts from Canada’s training camp and will represent Team Canada at the tournament starting December 26 in Minnesota.
- He was initially invited to the 27-player training camp announced on December 8.
- He’s been featured in pre-tournament lineups (e.g., centering a line with Caleb Desnoyers and Liam Greentree in an exhibition against Sweden on December 17).
- A reliable Flyers source reported today: “Jett Luchanko has made the cut for the WJC Tournament for Team Canada.”

Samuel Ersson will start tonight for the Flyers against the Buffalo Sabres. He has compiled a 5-3-3 record, with a 2.96 GAA, and a .870 Save Percentage on the season.
