Ivan Miroshnichenko coming into the 2022 draft during this past season was one of the most intriguing prospects to watch. Just ask our very own Lance Green. He as you should be is very high on the kid. Miroshnichenko had to go though a Cancer battle as Flyers own Oskar Lindblom did in order to battle back and be ready only a few weeks prior to draft day.

Ivan might have a more raw game than say a Shane Wright or Logan Cooley, possibly even Jurav SlafkovskĂ˝, but he makes up for it with his still getting better good skating, nice passing, and last but not least his bombastic shot and one timer. It would be naive coming off of Cancer to think Ivan would be a massive impact in year one at the Pro Levels. However, he could definitely be a great impact in the Juniors and work his way back up there. Making him then become a steal in this draft if he does fall like some mocks have him projected now. In the freaking low 20’s on some mocks. To me he is far too talented to go that low.

Last but not least will Miroschnichenko be on the Flyers draft board. Pre-Cancer he would have been in the top 10 of the draft. Unfortunately, I think Ivan is going to get overlooked because of the uncertainty of how long it will take him to get back to full form. If he does go top 10 however, I personally believe the team will be getting their value. He might just take a extra year or two to show top 10 value. However, once he shows it what says he won’t pass the immediately good to solid guys like Wright, Cooley, etc.

If the Flyers see Ivan falling to the bottom of the first, they should do anything in their power, in reason, to trade up for him. That is right now the most logical reason they could obtain him. Unless they take the risk and nab him at five, which is unlikely.
