Now that Jett Luchanko’s season with the Guelph Storm has concluded. The plan is for him to join the Lehigh Valley Phantoms to help with their playoff push.

It’s official, it’s Jett Luchanko time in Lehigh. As I have reported all week, Luchanko was due to arrive in Lehigh today.
A player can play in the AHL at the conclusion of the CHL season, not during the middle of it, or the beginning of it, even if they don’t meet the initial age requirement of 20, per AHL rules. Now a player can get called up to the big club for emergency purposes only, that’s the only way they could receive a recall when the CHL season begins.

He’s not like your average, typical prospect. Luchanko is very mature for his age, and that is yet another reason why this experience at the professional level will only help him.
