The Flyers were rocking and rolling before the postponement of the season due to the Coronavirus. Your Philadelphia Flyers were sitting in second place, and one point behind the Washington Capitals for first place in the Metropolitan Division. The season just had that magical feel to it, and people really started to believe in this young Flyers team.
Let’s be real here, the Flyers would be sitting in first place right now if the season did not get suspended, I firmly believe that. Brian Elliott would have started tonight against the New York Rangers, and in my opinion the Flyers would be looking to extend their winning streak to 11 games, after defeating the Tampa Bay Lightning, Minnesota Wild, Edmonton Oilers, St. Louis Blues, Dallas Stars, Nashville Predators, New York Islanders, Pittsburgh Penguins, Detroit Red Wings, and the New Jersey Devils.
This “I’m a Rocket Man” pump up video is a tribute to, of course, the Flyers, as they would have won tonight 5-2 over the Rangers. Elliott and Carter Hart have a great relationship on and off the ice, and both were stellar before the Coronavirus shut down the hockey season (Temporarily hopefully). Letttts goooo Flyerssssss.
