Carter Hart has been out of the lineup for over a week with a lower body injury. What an unreal turn of events, as Hart has put forth a solid 2022-23 campaign. A campaign in which this “Teaching” season is the not fault of Hart or any other Goaltender for that matter.
According to Tortorella, Hart will start tonight, and he is still unsure if he will use a 12F,6D group or an 11F,7D group. However, one thing is for certain, Tortorella will indeed be behind the bench coaching for the orange and black again, “I was upstairs with Danny,” John Tortorella said about Tuesday. “Danny and I, again like St. Louis, we spent time talking about how we are going to go about our business after the season, looking and talking about personnel.”
Theoretically, it sounded like the Flyers were extra cautious with Hart. In the grand scheme of things, hopefully, Hart is finally ok as the orange and black were rightfully precautious with him. But, it wasn’t a bad thing to get a look at an Samuel Ersson/Felix Sandström tandem. Let the young kids play, as opposed to bringing in a vet to clog up a spot.
What will happen tonight is anyone’s guess, but it is nice to see Hart back to full health. It’s good that he can close out the 2022-23 season on a good note.
