The trade deadline has come and gone, and the Flyers did not add. Besides trading Michael Raffl and Defenseman Erik Gustafsson, the Flyers moved forward with their team to take on the Washington Capitals. Let’s get into it.

The Wavering Ghost

Just a short period ago, Defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere was waived from the team, cutting salary, and was unsure about his future with the team. However, he cleared waivers and rejoined the team, while coming back with a vengeance. Ghost began to produce offensively and a bright light was lit, then the power went out the light was gone. He was an absolute turnover machine and just couldn’t capitalize on his previous success he has had previously. Ghost was a -1 tonight on the ice but the turnovers were terrible . He has games of brightness and then just looks flat. Certainly a big notice from my view.

Caps were Cappin

The Washington Capitals came into tonight and the team was out for blood. You could just see this team is almost playoff ready. The exposed ever flaw the Flyers have and the team couldn’t find their way. Just an unfortunate way to go down, but the Capitals are built and ready for the playoffs.

Ovechkin fans on a pass

Welp, after a 6-1 loss for the Flyers, the Caps

weren’t perfect. Alex Ovechkin actually fanned on a pass, and that may of been the only thing they did wrong.

The Flyers are lost

Someone has to stand up and take the pride back. They are getting embarrassed left and right. The team will welcome back Jeff Carter and the Pittsburgh Penguins come Thursday. Will a new team show up? We will see.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it
