The Flyers games that were slated for this week against the Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals have been postponed. The NHL has decided to pause their schedule early before the holiday break due to covid outbreaks with several teams across the league. With the Flyers having multiple players battling injuries or positive covid results such as, Morgan Frost, Kevin Hayes, Derrick Brassard, Ryan Ellis, Max Willman and Wade Allison the break couldn’t come at a better time.
The team now has some much needed time off and haven’t played since December 18th. Affording some of these injured and covid positive players the time to return to the Flyers after this break without potentially missing any more games. It can be expected that the Flyers should at least see Morgan Frost, Derrick Brassard, Max Willman and possibly Kevin Hayes return from injury or from covid. This should be a boost for the team getting back some of their depth and most important pieces on the team in terms of the center ice position.

This includes what we all would like to see from the Flyers game moving forward and how they need to continue to improve to succeed in the future and cement themselves back into the Eastern Conference playoff race.
Along with this we also discuss the Flyers line-up construction and the placement of certain players once the team is finally healthy. From this point it’s also brought forth how defenseman Keith Yandle has struggled a fair amount in his last handful of games and what the Flyers need to do with Yandle on the back end. Not to mention several other topics surrounding the Philadelphia Flyers and their play as a whole this season so far.
