With the 2022-2023 season and playoffs officially over the off-season lies ahead for the Philadelphia Flyers. As the NHL Entry Draft approaches and Free Agency shortly afterwards it appears as though the Philadelphia Flyers are going to be a busy franchise throughout this upcoming off-season.
The Flyers hold the 7th and 22nd overall picks respectively in the 1st round of the NHL Draft. With this being touted as one of the deepest drafts since 2015 and 2003 the Flyers will certainly have an opportunity to select game changing players with their picks if they do indeed keep both.
Additionally, it’s been rumored by Frank Seravalli that the Flyers are essentially listening or potentially interested in trading the following roster players, Kevin Hayes, Travis Konecny, Scott Laughton, Tony DeAngelo, Carter Hart and Travis Sanheim. All 6 Flyers appeared on Seravalli’s trade bait board. That does not necessarily mean all of these players will be on the move. However it indicates the Flyers are open to making moves if it makes sense for them.
As a result of the above, we can likely expect Danny Briere and his staff to be fairly busy in the coming weeks ahead.
