Garnet and Lindsay Hathaway, have collaborated with Dogfish Head Craft Brewery and Flyers Charities to launch Engine 19 IPA, a citrus-forward pale ale with a 6.5% ABV. The beer, inspired by community connection and Hathaway’s Hath’s Heroes initiative, supports local first responders and their families.
It features Simcoe, Chinook, and Citra hops, offering pine and citrus aromas with passion fruit, toffee, and biscuit flavors. The beer’s name honors Hathaway’s great-grandfather, a firefighter, and ties to his jersey number 19. Engine 19 IPA is available in Pennsylvania and Delaware on draft and in 6-packs, including at Flyers games. A launch party was held on September 10, 2025, at PHS Beer Garden South Street.
“Lindsay and I are beyond thrilled for Engine 19 to finally hit the shelves,” Hathaway said via press release. “This isn’t just a beer, it’s a way to support the people who show up for our communities day in and day out. Bringing this to life with Dogfish Head and Flyers Charities has been an incredible journey, and I can’t wait for fans to experience it and join us in making a difference.”
Hathaway also previously released Hath’s Hazy, a beer during his time with the Washington Capitals, supported by teammates at a release event.
