The Wild got the game’s first power play at the 8:00 mark of the first period as Matvei Michkov was called for slashing. Vladar ended up making a save on Joel Eriksson Ek, and the Wild moved the puck around very well. They also missed on a few shots just wide of the net.

The Flyers went on their first power play at the 10:52 mark of the first as Marcus Johansson got called for hooking. Wild goaltender Jesper Wallstedt made a save on Owen Tippett early, and that’s about it. Michkov and Christian Dvorak missed on shots wide, and the Wild were able to clear the puck down a few times.

Andrae gave the Flyers a 1-0 lead at the 18:35 mark of the first period. He took a pass from Trevor Zegras and put a wrist shot that ended up slipping through the legs of Wallstedt from the slot. Zegras received the lone assist.

Nick Seeler was called for slashing at the 8:14 mark of the second period, which gave the Wild their second power play. They capitalized and tied the game up at one thanks to Matt Boldy. Mats Zuccarello’s pass attempt went off the skate of Boldy. Boldy then took the puck and put a wrist shot through the legs of Vladar from the left circle. Zuccarello and Quinn Hughes tallied assists.

The Wild took a 2-1 lead at the 17:50 mark of the second courtesy of Kirill Kaprizov. He took a pass from Brock Faber and put a wrist shot over the blocker of Vladar from the left circle. Faber and Hughes picked up assists.

The Flyers got their second power play just 1:54 into the third period as Robby Fabbri got called for tripping. They had trouble setting up in the zone and didn’t record a single shot on net. The Wild did a nice job of keeping the puck along the boards to waste time and clearing it down.

Konecny was called for interference at the 6:08 mark of the third. This gave the Wild their third man advantage. Vladar made two huge saves on Hughes and Vladimir Tarasenko, and the Flyers did their job of clearing the puck. Owen Tippett, however, scored a shorthanded goal to tie the game up at two. He received a pass from Carl Grundstrom and put a slapshot past the blocker of Wallstedt from just inside the blue line. Grundstrom and Travis Sanheim were given assists.

The Wild got caught with too many men on the ice at the 19:08 mark of the third period, which gave the Flyers their third power play. Nothing worth noting happened before the horn went off. The Flyers would carry the power play into overtime. Wallstedt only ended up making a save on Zegras, and the Wild blocked a few shots.

The Flyers went on their fourth power play at the 1:35 mark of the overtime period as Hughes got called for holding. They peppered Wallstedt with shots but couldn’t get anything past him. Konecny, Michkov, Cates, and Zegras all had shots on net.

No one scored in overtime, so the game went to a shootout. The Wild sent out Zuccarello, Kaprizov, and Boldy. The Flyers sent out Michkov, Zegras, and Konecny. Konecny would be the only one to score, securing the three-two victory for the Flyers.

Flyers went zero for four on the power play and killed off two of the three Wild man advantages.

Vladar saved 21 of 23 shots, giving him a .913 save percentage.
