The Philadelphia Flyers traveled to Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington, to take on the Kraken in their second game of a five-game road trip. Dan Vladar got the start in net, and there were no changes to the lineup. The Flyers struggled to solve Philipp Grubauer all game long, but had their chances on the power play. Carl Grundstrom scored the only goal of the game late in the third period. The orange and black dropped to 19-11-7 on the season.

The Flyers got the game’s first power play at the 7:40 mark of the first period as Berkly Catton was called for holding. They moved the puck around well in the offensive zone, and Grubauer had to come up with four big saves to keep the game scoreless.

Ryan Lindgren gave the Flyers their second power play as he got called for holding at the 12:22 mark of the first. They, again, moved the puck around well, and Grubauer had to make a big save on a slapshot from Zegras, who was at the right circle.

The Kraken took a 1-0 lead at the 3:48 mark of the second period courtesy of Jordan Eberle. Kappo Kakko, from the right circle, found Eberle in the slot, and he put a snapshot over the glove of Vladar. Kakko and Matty Beniers collected assists.

The Flyers got their third power play at the 13:52 mark of the second as the Kraken got caught with too many men on the ice. Kakko served the penalty. They still weren’t able to solve Grubauer, but he had to make a few saves on Owen Tippett and Denver Barkey. The Kraken were also able to clear the puck down the ice a few times.

Vladar was pulled with 3:26 left in the third in favor of the extra attacker with the Flyers down by two. It backfired, however, as Tolvanen scored an empty-netter at the 17:31 mark. Stephenson’s pass from below the goal line went off Tolvanen’s skate and into the empty net. Stephenson received the lone assist. This gave the Kraken a 3-0 lead.

Carl Grundstrom got the Flyers on the board at the 18:03 mark of the third period. He took a pass from Rodrigo Abols and put a wrist shot just under the crossbar and in past Grubauer. Abols and Nikita Grebenkin tallied assists. 3-1 Kraken.

The Flyers pulled Vladar again with 1:41 remaining in the third. Grundstrom, unfortunately, turned the puck over to Tolvanen, who scored another empty-netter to make it 4-1 Kraken. The goal was unassisted.
