Let the games begin folks. Flyers hockey is almost back, and we got you covered. We at Flyers Nitty Gritty are expecting big things from his club this season, and we will have you covered every step of the way.

Morgan Frost and Mark Friedman will both have chips on their shoulders. They both want to impress, and make the big club outright. Some Flyers fans have Morgan Frost pegged to make the team out right, a d rightfully so. He is one of the most talented prospects that the Flyers have in their system. It will be interesting to see how much Frost weighs tomorrow at physicals.

The only surprises in my opinion were invited to Roddy Ross, Zayde Wisdom, and Tyson Foerster. This is a surprise to me, but shouldn’t come as a shock as both the OHL and WHL season’s are in limbo. This might just be giving them an opportunity to get some training in. Although, I do believe Ross will be given every chance to make the Taxi Squad roster or the Phantoms roster as he age eligible (20), due to Kirill Ustimenko’s injury as I wrote yesterday. The next step for Ross is to impress, and earn an Entry-Level-Contract (ELC).

22 Forwards: Sean Couturier, Claude Giroux, Jakub Voracek, JVR, Kevin Hayes, Travis Konecny, Nolan Patrick, Joel Farabee, Michael Raffl, NAK, Oskar Lindblom, Morgan Frost, Connor Bunnaman, Andy Andreoff, Scott Laughton, Samuel Morin, Carsen Twarynski, Tanner Laczynski, Wade Allison, Linus Sandin, Zayde Wisdom, Tyson Foerster

14 Defencemen: Ivan Provorov, Erik Gustafsson, Travis Sanheim, Philippe Myers, Robert Hagg, Justin Braun, Shayne Gostisbehere, Mark Friedman, Yegor Zamula, Wyatte Wylie, Chris Bigras, Derrick Pouliot, Tyler Witherspoon, Nate Prosser

5 Goalies: Carter Hart, Brian Elliott, Alex Lyon, Felix Sandström, Roddy Ross

The only shock here is Flyers young 20-year-old goaltending prospect in Roddy Ross. Ross was in Voorhees last week according to his intsagram, and it may have to do with Kirill Usitmenko’s unfortunate 4-5 month injury that included hip surgery.

Notes:

David Kaše, Linus Högberg, German Rubtsov and Maksim Sushko will stay in Europe at least until there is more clarity with the AHL season.

Isaac Ratcliffe sustained a fractured rib in training and will be out a minimum of four weeks.
