Flyers Training Camp 2025 resumed this morning after a well earned day off on Monday. The Flyers are taking on the Habs in Montreal tonight at 7:00 PM. The players who will not be taking part in tonight’s game ran through drills and scrimmages at the Flyers Training Center in Voorhees.

So far head coach Rick Tocchet has not let the pre-season games interrupt his hands-on involvement at camp. Tocchet runs a full day with the team then departs to meet the game squad on the road.
Foerster
The big news is Tyson Foerster was wearing a black full-contact jersey for the on ice sessions today. Up until this point Foerster has been wearing a color coded no-contact jersey at camp. He is dealing with an infection in his arm that was threatening to interrupt his availability possibly even into the regular season. It is great news to see him in full participation ahead of schedule.

High Speed Line
With many of the players already on their way to Montreal we got to see some interesting line combinations. None was more interesting than Trevor Zegras centering Matvei Michkov and Travis Konecny. Speed, skill, tenacity, it would be a blast to see that line in a game setting. Not a lot of size but good luck catching them.

Last Men Standing
It is always interesting to see which players will be the last to leave the ice. It’s training camp, time to get serious and make the very most of your ice time. Sometimes it’s surprising to see who sticks around to work on things long after their team mates and the coaching staff has gone. Today it was Travis Konecny, Trevor Zegras, and Garnet Hathaway.

Extra Credit: It;s also amusing to watch some of the veteran Flyers players keeping things in perspective for the younger prospects at camp. Everybody wants the job, guys are trying to get noticed. Vets are doling out reality checks. Go ahead do your best to make an impression, but not on my watch. Good stuff.
