The Philadelphia Flyers are carrying some serious depth at center and while a lot of the players are not developed, there is a plethora of potential lined up to make the future a safe bet. Top tier talent like Nolan Patrick and Morgan Frost are complimented by well rounded prospects like German Rubtsov, Tanner Laczynski, and Jay O’Brien. However, the names below them like Connor Bunnaman, Mikhail Vorobyev, Pascal Laberge all have Pro Upsides with Bunnaman already cracking the Flyers “Black Aces list” and making an impact in the 2019-20 playoffs. There is a deep pool of young talented players that could all be leveraged for more NHL depth.
While this list is obviously talented and deep in it’s own right, it does carry some risks and setbacks as a few of the top players have injuries in their recent career, but such is the ride to the NHL and in a few months that narrative may no longer matter. Check out Part 2 of the Flyers’ Young Guns Ranking series as Yariv Wolok breaks down the top young centers in the Flyers organization.
