The Philadelphia Flyers left wing crop is an impressive group that has enough variety and potential to leave any team satisfied knowing that help is coming from within. The group has a wide variety of skillsets that are all present on the list with large variations in size, role, and experience. For this list I will be focusing only on players drafted (or undrafted) from 2014 to 2020. A six year glance at the Flyers young depth at left wing.

While some players on the list are already NHL regulars, they are all part of the Flyers young core to build the future of the team’s success. A player like Elliot Desnoyers currently finds himself very low on this list, but for some who has had an explosive year, the odds that he would be stay this low is unlikely moving forward. Also while Elliot was drafted as a left winger, he is currently playing center. I did not list him as a center until he stays in that role for longer, so expect that to change if he stays at center. Consistency is key and some players have had success at the pro level and that has to be taken into account.

The issues with most of the players being on the bottom of any of these lists is that, it’s not a reflection on the player, but a reflection of the depth the Flyers prospect pool boasts. With players like Lindblom, Farabee, Ratcliffe, and others on the list fans should sleep soundly knowing there is always help coming on the left side.
