What a week it was for the Flyers. They ousted the Montreal Canadiens last Friday night to clinched their first series playoff victory since the 2011-12 season. Carter Hart has just been phenomenal, and the team overall defense has played very well. They may have lost the first game to the New York Islanders 4-0, but the series is far from over. Without further delay, here are Ricky Brown’s (@rickybrown) videos from a week Flyers playoff hockey.
Jakub Voracek had a great series against the Montreal Canadiens. He finishes series with four goals and three assists.
Voracek was possessed against the Canadiens. He was on a mission, and the Flyers succeeded.
Ivan Provorov tallied what everyone thought was his second goal of the playoffs. The goal was taken away from him, and awarded to Travis Konecny, then it was given back to him later in the second period. Whatever the case may be Provorov now has two goals in the playoffs.
Kevin Hayes finally potted his first goal of this playoffs. He now has one goal, and six assists in the playoffs.
Originally, this goal was awarded to Travis Sanheim, but Michael Raffl appeared to get a piece of it on his skate. Raffl’s goal ends up being the game-winning goal against the Montreal Canadiens in a 3-2 victory, and the Flyers oust the Canadiens in a pretty entertaining series. This was the Flyers first clinching playoff series victory since 2011-12.
Hopefully, the magic continues in game two against the New York Islanders.
