Training camp and pre-season games galore. It’s really the start of Fall, and with that the NHL season kicks off in just 13 days. Without further delay, here are our answers to your questions.
Giroux-Couturier-Konecny
van Riemsdyk-Frost-Farabee
Lindblom-Brassard-Atkinson
Laughton-Thompson-NAK
(Bunnaman)
Provorov-Ellis
Sanheim-Ristolainen
Yandle-Braun
(Seeler)
Hart

No I actually believe Flyers Head Coach Alain Vigneault likes these lines for chemistry purposes. JvR and Farabee play well together, while Giroux-Couturier-Konecny have played together before, as well. Factor in the chemistry that the Lindblom-Brassard-Atkinson line has formed early. I think the lines will stay the same as they head into opening night.
The only way I can envision Giroux and Atkinson playing together to open the season is if Giroux moves to center, which is a possibility if Morgan Frost does not make the team outright out of camp. Right now I still think Frost makes the team, so the lines would stay the same, as well.
Tyson Foerster has done very well, although I still think he’s headed to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, and that’s ok. This young man has turned some heads, and with another year of development it can only mold him into a better player in the future.
Foerster can come into training camp in 2022-23 and try to make the team outright. His skating has improved and it’s noticeable. Foerster’s skating will not prevent him from playing in the NHL. Finally the Flyers have a sniper that many can be happy about.
I do not think the Flyers are Stanley Cup contenders as they head into opening night in 13 days. With that I do not believe the Flyers will win the Stanley Cup.
I believe Tampa Bay will three peat. They are just so powerful. There are two teams I can see knocking them out of the playoffs in the East, and they are the New York Islanders and the Boston Bruins.
The Stanley Cup will be between the Colorado Avalanche and the Tampa Bay Lightning, with the Lightning winning the Cup in 6.
