The Flyers are off to a good to a good start this season through the first three games (2-0-1). One of the biggest changes is faster starts. The Flyers have outscored their opponents 7-1 in the first period. Without further delay, here are our answers to your questions.

If Patrick Brown plays, Nicolas Aube-Kubel should take a seat. He is just taking careless penalties again, and looks disinterested at times. It’s time for NAK to see a game or two from the press box.

Martin Jones

Felix Sandström

Samuel Ersson

This is a great question, and it has nothing to do with the recent injury to Kevin Hayes. Hayes was signed to be a 3C, rather than a 2C. He has performed well to earn the 2C role, but ideally he should slide back into the 3C role where he belonged when he originally signed with the Flyers.

Derick Brassard is playing well, and has his line with Joel Farabee and Cam Atkinson rocking. Flyers Head Coach Alain Vigneault should not break this line up.

I would not trade Morgan Frost for Vitaly Kravtsov. Kravtsov appears to be a head case, and I think that Frost can be an asset in a future trade for a player with no problems. Of course, this depends on how Frost is performing or not performing. I’m not over valuing Frost. I just think a better deal could take place for Frost.

  1. Hayes was brought in as a 3C? Behind who, besides Coots? G was on the wing. Nolan Patrick? Pretty sure he was brought in as 2C.

  2. I i firmly believe that we become contenders, when Hayes plays in third line center role, and we have some other better player in second line center spot, like Frost or someone we trade for! I think that was the plan with drafting Patrick, but it failed because Hextall did not listen to his scout, and simply draft Elias Petterson! Or game changing defenders like Heiskanen or Makar, and trade for center! For now our team is one great center away from success, and if Frost is not that guy, because i don”t think Brassard is that missing piece, we should trade Konecky for example with some draft picks to go along or prospects for great pretty young center, like Winnipeg did in case of Dubois! Right wingers we have in Allison and others coming in the prospect pool, like Foerster and Wisdom, so we have that covered, and defense in order finally, so why not trade Konecky(not that i dislike Konecky or doubt his playing skills, i just think that he is the best piece to offer in trade) for center!?
