Woooooooo the Flyers appear to be on fire. AV has this team clicking on cylinders, after crushing the Chicago Blackhawks 4-1 in Chicago. Let me say this again, in Chicago. It’s a breath of fresh air with Head Coach AV in the locker room. Without further delay, here are our answers to your questions..

Alain Vigneault did not target Jakub Voracek individually, rather it was his line as a whole with Claude Giroux, and JVR. It’s never good when you get called out indirectly by your coach, as the entire line of Giroux, JVR, and Voracek did on Tuesday after practice by Vigneault. Vigneault said three of the four lines played solid hockey against the Vegas Golden Knights, but he left out the Giroux, JVR, and Voracek line out of the mix. He said he expects more from this Veteran bunch, and that they have to figure it out.

This is the second time this season that Voracek was either targeted indirectly, or directly from Vigneault in regards to his play. However, in this case it was his whole line, not just himself. Voracek has to figure things out, or he could be possibly benched. AV just wants 100% effort both offensively and defensively. Vigneault has said time and time again, “Talent has no age.” Hopefully, Jake figures it out sooner, rather than later.

It could be the new skills coach Angelo Ricci teaching them different ways to throw off their opponents. Sometimes some of the players could be a little too over confident, as well, thus the behind-the-back passes, or blind passes. However, Ricci has done a really good job with this group in the early going, it appears he gives them confidence to use their skills to their advantage.
