The Flyers are 3-2 in their last five games played. Three of those wins came against power houses in the St. Louis Blues, Washington Capitals, and the Boston Bruins. However, the orange and black did fall to a team outside of the playoff race in the Montreal Canadiens. The Flyers have to become a consistent team against good teams and bad teams. Without further delay, here are our answers to your questions.
Yegor Zamula is apparently suffering from a degenerative back condition, that apparently intensified at the WJC tournament. No further details were provided by the Calgary Hitmen, with the exception that he would miss the rest of the season. He was supposed to get surgery this past week, and would be out tentatively for three to four months.
Zamula needs our prayers for a safe return back to the ice. My thoughts on him have not changed, he should be a top four defenceman in the NHL at some point. A stint with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms will help with that, as well as, for him to be able to get bigger.
After Chuck Fletcher’s press conference this past Tuesday, he remains optimistic that Nolan Patrick can return this season. With that being said, Fletcher could wait until the off-season to obtain a top six Forward if need be, so it does alter his plans sort of speak.
Fletcher did say he wouldn’t be on the market for a high priced player. He reiterated to the press that he would look to make a minor move if the right deal came about. Fletcher likes the overall makeup of the club, so he doesn’t want to ruffle the feathers.
The Flyers are against the cap, like most teams in hockey at this point of the season. It would cost a lot to obtain a top six Forward, and quite frankly the Flyers don’t have that cap space to pull that off. Contracts like JVR and Jakub Voracek would be nearly impossible to move during the season. Ridding one of those contracts would most likely have to take place in the off-season.

We should trade Justin Braun and Ghost, because Mark Friedman and Robert Hägg has been just as good in our firth-pair of defense! Braun should be traded back to assets, witch we lost or in my mind wasted on him! And Ghost has very trade friendly contract, witch we should trade to get some forward depth, witch we sadly lack do to Oskar”s and Nolan”s case or assets as well, because then we have cap-space! And we have young prospects as well coming in the defense, so Chucky try to trade them!
