Day 2 of Flyers’ 2025 training camp kicked off this morning at the Flyers Training Center in Voorhees, N.J., under new Head Coach Rick Tocchet. The session featured high-paced drills with players divided into three groups (A, B, and C), focusing on on-ice and off-ice work as the team builds toward its pre-season opener on Sunday, Sept. 21, against the New York Islanders at UBS Arena. The overall mood remains upbeat and business-like, building on the positive energy from Day 1.
No Karsen Dorwart
Karsen Dorwart is day-to-day with an upper body injury, per the Flyers. Owen Tippett got him good yesterday with a big hit.
This is damaging for Dorwart, as he wanted to make an imprint to make the Flyers opening night roster. His status for the pre-season opener on Sunday is now in doubt. Was he a long shot to make the opening night roster? Sure, but this almost takes him out of the running.
Noah Cates
Cates was at Center on Day 2 today. Rick Tocchet raved about him yesterday in his presser.

Barkey still gets a big shot, and hopefully he can take advantage of such.
Alexis Gendron
Gendron is known for his speed. He’s a 21-year-old left-shooting winger (born December 30, 2003, in Olten, Switzerland, and raised in Côteau-du-Lac, Quebec) currently playing for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms in the American Hockey League (AHL). Selected by the Flyers in the seventh round (220th overall) of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft, Gendron is the son of former NHL player and current Flyers scout Martin Gendron.
Today, he flashed his speed and showed off his shot too.
Zegras-Konecny, Grebenkin-Michkov
The Bump-Zegras-Konecny line looked in sync for a second day
Michkov and Grebenkin continued their chemistry for a second straight day, with dipsy doo type plays, and hard work for goals.
